Federal Tax Credits Extended for EV Charging Stations & Installation Through the End of 2021

Purchasing an EV Charging Station in 2021? If so, we have great news for you! Congress recently passed a retroactive federal tax credit for those who purchased environmentally responsible transportation, including costs for EV charging infrastructure. The tax credit now expires on December 31, 2021. Receive a federal tax credit of 30% of the cost of purchasing and installing an EV charging station (up to $1,000 for residential installations and up to $30,000 for commercial installations). Previously, this federal tax credit expired on December 31, 2017, but is now extended through December 31, 2021. The charging station must be purchased and installed by this date to be eligible.

All Liberty charging stations qualify. For our customers interested in taking advantage of this federal tax credit, Liberty can assist you with finding the charging station best suited for your needs. Contact us for assistance. If you learn of any active EVSE rebates or tax credits that are not listed, please email details to info@libertyplugins.com and we will add them.

Additional tax credit information is available at the U.S. Department of Energy website. For more information on claiming the credit, see IRS Form 8911, available for download at the IRS Forms and Publications website.

Numerous local, state and utility company EVSE rebates and incentives are also available. Please check out our state incentives page for a list of current incentive programs.
