Program Overview

Virginia has implemented an electric vehicle rebate program to offset the costs of installing Direct Current Fast Chargers (DCFCs) along public roads and highways. With $100 million in funding, Virginia will credit entities for the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles. Those seeking to install DCFCs are eligible for up to 80% rebates from the VDOT EV Program. In addition, local electric utility companies may offer supplementary incentives.
